Q: How does the design process work from start to finish?
A: We start with a detailed questionnaire where you share your style, space, budget, and maintenance preferences. From there, we create tailored layouts and planting plans that reflect your input. Finally, you’ll receive a complete PDF garden pack with everything you need to bring your garden to life.

4 You’ll receive a full digital pack by email — including your layout, planting plan and plant list.
Q: Will I have to measure my garden myself?
A: Yes — our questionnaire guides you through how to take simple measurements. These don’t need to be perfect; just accurate enough to help us design a plan that fits your space.

Q: What if I need support after I receive my design?
A: We’re here to help. You’ll have email support if you have questions about your garden pack, and our seasonal care tips will guide you throughout the year
Q: Can I come back for another design in the future?
A: Of course! Many of our clients return when they move house, extend their gardens, or want to refresh their outdoor space.
Q: Do you tell me where to buy the plants?
A: Yes — your design includes a plant shopping list with estimated costs and suggested suppliers (including links to reputable UK nurseries and online stores).
Q: Will I get a care guide for my plants?
A: Yes. Every design includes detailed care instructions — watering, pruning, feeding, and seasonal maintenance.

Q: How long does it take to receive my design?
A: Once we have all your details, most designs are completed within 7–14 days depending on size and complexity.
You’ll receive an estimated delivery date when you place your order.
Q: Do I need to be a gardener to use your service?
A: Not at all! Hazel & Green is designed for everyone — from beginners to keen gardeners.
Each design comes with a “How to Plant” guide and clear care instructions, so you’ll know exactly what to do.
Q: Can you design just one border?
A: Yes. You can choose the number of borders you require from one upwards.
Budget & Pricing
Q: Do you work with small budgets?
A: Absolutely. We create designs that work with your budget, whether you’re looking for a simple refresh or a full transformation. We’ll prioritise key elements that give you the most impact within your budget.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
A: No. Our pricing is transparent, and everything you need is included in the final garden pack. The only extra costs you’ll have are when you purchase plants, materials, or hire contractors to carry out the work.
Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay securely using all major debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Your order is confirmed instantly, and you’ll receive an email receipt.

Q: Can you design gardens that are low-maintenance?
A: Yes. We specialise in low-maintenance, sustainable planting solutions. That means more time enjoying your garden and less time maintaining it.
Q: Do you include eco-friendly options?
A: Absolutely. We recommend sustainable planting, water-wise layouts, and eco-conscious choices that look beautiful while being kinder to the environment
Timeline
Q: How long does it take to get my final garden design?
A: On average, the full process takes 7 to 10 days from receiving your completed questionnaire. Larger or more complex gardens may take a little longer, but we’ll keep you updated at every step.
Q: Can I make changes to the design once I see it?
A: The design process is built around a detailed questionnaire that captures your style, space, budget, and maintenance preferences right from the start. Because of this, we only allow one revision— the questionnaire ensures everything is tailored to your needs from the very beginning. This way, you can feel confident that your final design reflects your vision without needing revisions.
Practicalities
Q: Will you help me choose the actual plants?
A: Yes. Your garden pack includes detailed planting plans with plant names, positions, and care instructions, so you’ll know exactly what to buy and how to look after it.
Q: Do you offer in-person visits?
A: Currently, our service is fully online to make it more accessible and affordable. We provide clear instructions and guides so you’ll feel confident carrying out the design in your own space.
Q: Do I need professional measurements?
A: No — we make it simple. You can find a short guide showing exactly how to measure your garden using a tape measure or smartphone app under “Helpful Guides” in the footer of this website.
Accurate measurements help ensure your design fits perfectly, but it doesn’t need to be complicated.
Q: What if I don’t know my soil type or sun levels?
A: No problem. Our questionnaire includes guidance to help you identify these easily.
If you’re unsure, we’ll base recommendations on common local conditions and provide adaptable plant choices.
Q: Do you include hard landscaping (paths, patios, etc.)?
A: Not at present, however this may become available in the future.
